Conduct a Mary Kay Interview

Conducting Mary Kay interviews is vital to the success of your Mary Kay business. Having friends and family participate in interviews with you and your director is an ideal training tool for you to learn what you need to know about the Mary Kay company. An average of one in five interviews results in a new recruit so schedule as many interviews with your director as you can.

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

Step 1
Schedule a time that is good for you, your director and your possible recruit.

Step 2
Have your director call you and your recruit on a conference call line. Most directors have a conference call line available so let her make the calls.

Step 3
Listen to your director ask your recruits questions. Pay attention to the questions she is asking. Someday you might be the one asking.

Step 4
Tell your recruit to ask your director questions so you can hear how your director answers each question. This is an ideal opportunity for you to learn as much as you can about the Mary Kay products and the business opportunity.

Tips & Warnings

Mary Kay is the number one selling brand of cosmetics in the United States. Many people don't know that. By asking friends and family to participate in a conference call you are actually doing them the favor of enlightening them with the facts about Mary Kay.

Don't try to tackle your own Mary Kay interviews until after you've done a few with your director. This is a one time opportunity to share the facts with someone you know. You want to give her as much information as possible, but you can't share with her something you do not know.

I learned how to do a Mary Kay facial and glamour makeover.

I read a little bit of information on a web site titled "Pink Truth", all about how BAD Mary Kay is and the CULT it has become. By the time I finished reading I was ready to throw in the towel. I was so filled with doom and gloom, hopelessness and despair, I wanted to crawl under my bed and die. It only took a few minutes to realize that just because one person fails doesn't mean everyone else has too. So I picked up my head and dusted off the negativity. I decided, I will not fail.

Remember, if you look, you can find something negative about everything. My advice; don't look. Stay positive.

I learned how to do a Mary Kay facial including glamour and colors. I am ready to go. If you are ready to join me, visit my web site and send me a note. I would LOVE to take you with me on my journey. I am destined to win. I will settle for nothing less.

How To Use A Level

How Does a Level Work?

The Process
The Importance of Using a Level
Use a construction level to ensure that your project is straight. Contractors use levels when hanging pictures, window blinds, and doors. If you choose not to use a level, you run the risk of building slanted walls. Most levels are manual and non-powered, while others are laser powered.
The Air Bubble Is Central
Manual levels are anywhere from 6 inches long to 8 feet. Levels contain a liquid-filled tube, encased in plastic or glass. This tube has 2 lines. which separate the tube into three sections. There is an air bubble inside the liquid. When the surface is level, the air bubble in the liquid sits in between the two lines. If the surface is slanted, the bubble will lean to one side of the center or the other. If you lay the level on a surface, such as a shelf, and the air bubble centers between the two lines, you know your surface is level.

The Level Cannot Lie
Water is self-leveling. Bend a plastic tube so both ends are up in the air. Fill it with water. Notice that the water lines are the same level on both sides of the tube, even if one side of the tube extends higher than the other. The water in a level is also self-leveling.

Laser Levels
The laser level works differently than the bubble level. The laser level is battery-operated and levels are checked not by an air bubble, but by a red line. Place the laser level in the area you wish to check such as a window sill, or above a cabinet. Turn the level on. The red light will shine all the way around a radius, in a straight line. Use a pencil to mark the lines, and your project will be completely level and plumb.
